Scott's Damper Kit fitment for SM 610?

    I see Scott's now have a mounting kit/damper listed for the '08 TE 610. I have a '08 SM 610. Scott's doesn't list this kit for the SM, but as far as I know, the SM and TE share the same triple/bars/tank/frame etc... so it should work. Anyone have any first hand knowledge fitment experience on the SM? Enough slack in the cables for the 25mm extra height?

    SM has different triples and might interfere.

    I don't think there will be a problem.

    You may need a longer clutch cable though and the throttle cable may be a little tight.

    I have a 09 SM 610 and I just installed the GPR steering stabilizer, which has a similar set up. The only issue I ran into was the chock cable above the clutch lever was too short, so I re-routed it. The clutch cable and throttle cables were long enough.

    Just checked the official Husky Parts catalog: TE/SM share the same frame, triple clamps/steering head, tank. The only potential issues will be in cable/hose lengths and those are usually resolved with re-routings as mentioned above. Will post my feedback once I have the Scott's installed and tested. THx!

    Decided on the GPR kit for my SM 610 as was cheaper than Scott's and close to where I live and they offer free rebuilds while I wait if I should ever need it. Plus available in black which I prefer with my grey bike.

    As rwarlich mentioned in his post above, had to relocate the fast idle cable which was easily done. All other cables/hoses long enough.

    The fitment was not without some issues. Had to bend the instrument bracket a bit forward and the collar that goes around the head tube could have been designed to rest a little lower so that installing the mounting nuts for the bar clamps is easier.

    But once on the bike, very good look but most important, the improvement in performance is great. The front just feels more planted, precise and secure during aggressive riding.
