I have ridden with a Scotts damper for 12 years. It is the only damper I have ridden with. I just bought a WR 300 and it comes with a Motosportz damper on it. Are they comparable in performance? I really like the highspeed circuit in the Scotts. It's saved my ass emany times. I'm wondering if i should order an undermount for my scotts or give the motosportz damper a try first.
serious... that is a great piece of kit, comparable to the scotts, and try to get that thing serviced by scotts with as fast a turn around as kelly over at motosportz. i got one for my 610 and am in total control bliss on really rough and shitty backroads or sandy turns.
Both are great. I prefer the on-the-fly simplicity of the Motosportz damper. Which reminds me, I need to order one for my TXC.
My personal preference in the the Motosportz damper but I don't think you can go wrong with either one. Already having the Motosportz damper should be a no brainer.
Here's a write up. http://www.motosportz.com/MZ-Dirt-stab.htm If you already have the Motosportz then give it a run. I stuck to my comfort zone and ordered a Scott.
I had the motosportz on my old ktm for 3 yrs zero problems. Matter of fact I got so overconfident because of it i have gone down twice now for lack of it on my wr300. I dont have it now only because my truck has been needing work. First minute i have the cash am buying another one. Loved my old one.
Is there a high speed circuit or something similar? The bike won't be here until late next week so I won't have much of a chance to ride it before the next enduro. That's why I am wanting some info. Never rode with any other damper. I always have It in the back of my mind that the Scotts will save my ass with the high speed setting. I am sure the Motosportz is a great product.
Yea the fix it for free policy is a huge plus. My ktm came with a older scotts and they want $100 to rebuild. $60 for normal rebuild and $40 for the new design parts Ive seen slightly used scotts for $150, makes it not even worth the rebuild
