what is the best tool to cut seat foam? thanks doug.

I think they make a knife (electric) that guys have used.

If you want to see one in person hit a Michael's Craft Store or similar. They usually have them. Upholstery shop likely uses them at times too.

An electric carving knife works well, y'know the ones with the two serrated blades going back and forth. Then shape it with a file chard- one of those wire brushes with the very short bristles meant to clean files. I've done a couple seats this way and it worked well.

I have not tried but heard if you soak the foam with water, freeze it then hit it with an angle grinder and sanding pad you get a good result..
