250-500cc sloppy kicker

my kickstart is getting very loose, still works fine but just sloppy. seems like it needs a washer or two in the knuckle part as it looks worn. whats the fix ladies & gentlemen or is this just the norm?

One of the fixes i have tryed is a 12mm shouldered bolt with flat washer on the bottom with a nyloc nut it takes the play out. after that just keep it well lubed.

They area that it piviots on wears and looses O.D.. You can replace the pin ( or do as above )and get most of the slack out.

Get u money out and buy a new kicker u tight ass lol

its my distant scottish & italian heritage that causes my tight-arsed-ness. seriously though, my bikes only 2 years old(admittedly done a fair bit of work) & i need a new kickstart! WTF! bit average i reckon

But still 2 year sold should be still under warranty ???? My 2005 I've had since brand new kicker is still like a new 1 and my 08 1 is.

Take it apart could be the detent ball and spring are stuck from crud build-up

nah mate only 1 year warranty in Oz. think they stopped 2 year warranty after 09 model run. warranty aint worth the paper its written on anyway(learnt that the expensive way), not with PFG!

Here in the uk we get 2 years I know it's a load of shite

30 days warranty in the us

Big company's have you ova everyway they can but you having 30 days probably covers our 2year lol
