I come from a XT660X, which I appreciate most is the engine reliability and low maintenance. I'm in love with the SM610 for long time, and here in Spain 2009 the last units are cheap. At the same price I found a official dealer SM630 test unit with 2000km. The doubts I have are almost the same as when I bought the XT two years ago: How reliable is the SM610 engine for everyday use? Is it a long life engine? I use the bike in not very sporting riding, would it be better to choose then the SM630? Is it any less maintenance on the 630 to 610? Thank you very much everyone for your guidance.
I ride a '08 SM610 and like it a lot. I bought it new and like that I know how it's been rode and serviced - something you don't always know when buying used. You should test ride both and see what YOU like.
