    Hello again guys,
So I was contemplating a SMR510 but now I am leaning towards a 610 as I'd like to have a bit longer life out of it as I will be riding on the street as my primary bike. There is a 2008 SM610 with 5,300 miles for 4,500 firm. It comes with heated grips, small rear fender rack, aluminum skid plate, brush guards, and a set of nobby SM tires.
Is 4500 a fair price and should I jump on it this weekend?

    Thank you guys!

You won't be disappointed, I paid slightly less for my 07 a few months ago.

just be aware that many including me purchased a 2011 SM630 for $5995, new with full factory warranty and zero miles.

I'd say you have some room for negotiation..

may need brake pads, chain, sprockets, tires and cam chain at that mileage.

Okay, I'd like to either talk him down to 4k or just wait until one with a Ti exhaust and power up kit already installed comes on CL for the same price.

If the bike is in decent to good shape, I'd say that's about average price. It's not a steal, but you wouldn't be getting totally ripped off either.

I bought my 2008 TE610 with lot's of farkles and 2K miles for $4000. I got a deal, but you've got room to negotiate. If he won't budge, be patient- a cheaper version will come along. I have no doubt he'll sell it, but it may take awhile or may not. I guess it all depends on how bad you want the bike and how good your negotiating tactics are.

If I remember right he bought this many moons ago and has had it for awhile and been trying to sell it for awhile too. I think he wrote about it on www.pnwriders.com but only vaguely remember it.

I've notice in the pics that there's only one handguard, no stickers on the tank(i.e. replacement plastics) and the clutch cable is not in the adjuster
    Was it in an accident?
Any pics of the other side of the bike?

So I ended up picking up the bike and it's running good and currently I'm in the process of painting the platics. The original color was red/white/black but they painted over it with a black paint and did a pretty horrible job so I've resanded it all down and am doing it right this time. I'll be painting it a Satin Black so wish me luck on the results. I'll post pics when it's all setup. Hey does anybody know where I can buy a low profile mirror setup for an 08' 610? I'm looking for something that doesn't stick way up in the front.
    Thanks guys for the input!

Plastics are cheap....you might want to check on buying fresh before investing too much time on repainting.

Where do you recommend buying plastics? I've had a hard time locating any places that sell them. I don't care if they are OEM.

Alright sweet. I sent off an email. I'm going to finish painting these plastics as I have already sanded them down and my buddy has a paint shop so he has all the equipment and paint I need so I just have to pay for the paint itself. I'm leaning more towards a gloss black then a satin black now though. Have you seen anyone paint there bike a satin or matte black with good results? I'd be interested in seeing some completed projects.
