Bought myself an `11 SMR 511. After sports bikes for over a decade this is my 2nd sumo and will never switch back. They are just so much fun. Time to start modding, came with a lot of spares including race plastics and 2 other sets of street plastics. A few minor things to fix on the bike and then have a look at updating looks.
Very interesting 3 phase transformer in the background! . Another sweet pic of this clean bike. Lol I can't wait to get out n ride!
Going to have to make a few changes to the bike, have owned it for 700 KM now and it needs a cosmetic overhaul at the very least. 1 - Some hoses are being held onto the bike by cable ties, will have to replace them with some nice hose clamps. 2 - The black plastic covers around the engine will be painted white, and the larger pieces will get stamped with a red husqvarna logo. 3 - Painting the hand guards white. 4 - Either buy or make a more comfortable seat. 5 - Change out the damaged grips for some nice bright white ones. 6 - LED Headlight replacement, considering DIY but might buy if I can find something I like. 7 - Learn how to wheelie all day long! This is subject to change as I really like the old Husaberg yellow / blue colour combo
I did the Trail Tech HD headlight. I love it but it did cost $300. It was originally white. This is after I did my paint job which isn't the best paint job or picture here lol.
i have an 09 SMR510 by the way. I did Zeta hand guards with the LED blinkers. The stock directionals are part of the headlight and I didn't realize that until I changed it for this HID headlight, but the LED lights r super bright.
