This is what I did with my new SMR511 in its first 500 kms. I am LOVING this bike. It is so much easier to ride and especially to jump and hooligan than the 550 Aprilia.
Well that looks like some good fun. Where is that? Try anything like that in my hood and they'll march you to the hoosegow.
Oh it is ...... lots of fun. Not gonna say where it is specificaly to avoid being marched off the the "hoosegow." I have been doing that kind of stuff for four years now and only been stopped by the local constabulary once with no tickets. I count myself lucky in that respect but we also make an effort not to flaunt it or do that stuff where we are likely to get caught. We tend to do it at times and places when nobody is around and even then we hit the jump a few times and then bugger off to avoid attracting too much attention. Its all in how you do it.
Do I need to download something to view the video? The screen on original post is just white. If it's YouTube, that will explain everything me - mgnt blocked YT....buttheads
Was out hooliganing again yesterday and the bike is revealing some of its quirks and faults. The compression damping front and back is way too soft for my 210 lbs. I have the adjusters cranked almost full hard and it is still too soft, especially in the rear. The downside to this is that I am smacking the skid plate on the ground off some of the bigger jumps. I don't think that plastic skid plate is going to last much longer. :O The turn signal relay fell out of the wiring harness yesterday. Luckily my buddy saw it fall out and so we were able to reattach. I have zip tyed it in place but those kinds of things really shouldn't just fall off a bike. There is a bolt holding the tail-light plastic together. This bolt is situated right at the very tip of the tail light / fender assembly. When the suspension is fully compressed coming down from a jump the tip of the bolt is jammed into the spinning tire which results in it chipping divots out of the tire. Took me a while to work out why the tire had all these small pock marks chipped out of it. I removed the bolt and replaced it with a zip tie.
