Hey guys, I own a 2006 SM610 and snapped my clutch disengagement shaft the other day (part number 8000 81676), the part that the clutch cable turns to disengage the clutch. Not only can I NOT FIND the part anywhere, the bottom half of the shaft is down inside my crank case and I cannot seem to get it out. My questions are: has anybody had this problem? How do I find this part, my dealer basically told me I was SOL? How do I get the bottom half of this shaft out of the crank case without having to disassemble the entire motor?
Have you tried to use a magnet? Take a look at this thread: http://advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=156429&page=1206. It should be interesting for you, not because I suggest that you disassemble the engine, but because there you an see how the seat of the shaft and its bearing look like.
