Sorry, would have answered you sooner but was out mowing the lawn.

    (kidding)

    Maybe 45 F outside?

The weather always amazes me here. Right now it is sunny with sleet/hail/rain slowly coming down. It then clouds up and precipitation stops for 10 minutes - then repeat. Tomorrow who knows...

It's really cold around the Seattle area with snow on the ground, but not cold enough or deep enough to keep the hard core riders away!

Central PA had 40 - 50 degrees today but looks like your nasty weather is heading south.
Spent Sunday out playing on the trials bike, conditions were great, bring on the global warming (just kidding).

Went riding in Chester, SC yesterday. It was about 48 degrees, overcast and muddy on the trails, but still a lot of fun... until I hit a patch of clay mud hidden by leaves... me and the Husky met the ground with much drama (or comedy depending on your perspective). A line of riders behind me got to witness me flipping and rolling, making it hard on the old ego. :)

Got a few inches on the ground now, with 8-12 more tonight i guess. I love riding in the snow, pack the front spokes with snow, lean back and kill it, or yourself. whatever

A little further south and west of wulf22..... We had a 12" of snow and in the teens Saturday and my riding buddies went snowmobiling. Today it's 51F, raining and the snow is gone! Supposed to freeze again tonight, so it will be back to the bikes with screws for a some trail riding. Once the little lake freezes it's time for some ice flatrack. We're riding all winter, you just have to be adaptive!:oldman:

    wulf22,
I've never made it too Old Forge. When we go north to sled, it's the west side of Tug Hill.

Coldest I've ridden a bike was -12F(-24C), so a little bit warmer than -30C. I did snap the kicker off my 125 a couple of years ago! WR250 was my best winter bike. The jetting is a little more flexible than the 125 and extra power doesn't hurt in deep snow. My TE400 was a hard starter in real cold weather. Always best to ride the tightest woods when it's that cold, the extra work keeps you warm!:oldman:

It only got to 48 degrees today in San Francisco...that's pretty cold!
Especially when it's raining. My boss saw snow falling and had snow on her car, and she lives in SF! She took photos, and it's a good thing because I wouldn't have believed her otherwise! It's supposed to be colder tomorrow.

All my favorite riding areas got hammered with snow.

Just went to a benefit ride in Hancock NY-site of the World Enduro Round in NY. A 50 mile ride in the hills- little snow, lots of ice. When we started it was about 25F-warmed up to low 30's. Great ride ride. I'll post some pics.

It's 24F today. Snowed 4"'s on Sunday and another front is on the way for tomorrow.
SM450 still sitting, doesn't do well in the snow. I need a TE or WR.

A couple of pics from our rude Sunday. This was a benefit for one of the local guys who put on the Hancock Dual Sport ride and the W.E.C. round in NY. The area is next to the Delaware River and the PA border. Drew (WER Enduro Products) and Chris Smith are two of the more famous club members.
The parking lot shows some of the 30+ vehicles that attended. my guess is 50-60 riders. You had to drive up a 3 mile long dirt road covered in ice with a steeeeep ravine immediately to one side. Room for one way only.
This other pic shows my 300. My mods for winter are Kold Kutter screws and hand mitts over the barkbusters. The mitts allow your hand s to stay dry and warm while wearing regular MX gloves.
My dealer suggested leaving the needle and jetting stock and just richening fuel screw. He also advised against covering the radiators unless I was doing a lot of fire roads-said the strokers run hot when going slow anyways so no need. His advice proved prudent.
Steve is in the background- he's riding the DRZ behind my bike.
His expression is because the DRZ shit in his hat again. Gotta move up to a Husky:D
As far as clothes go I wore a Goretex Reima jacket shell and water resistant snowboard pants along with my snowmobile boots and wool socks. We hit a lot of running water and water under ice so it was well tested-I was dry the whole day. Conditions ranged from mud and rocks to ice to snow. I lost no screws after the 50 mile ride-some are loose.
This area is about 45 minutes from Norm's neck of the woods.

The local mountains and hi-dez got a good blasting of some white stuff. :applause:

Down here? Sun's peeking through the clouds, winds calm, prolly'd be going down to the water for some mellow long-boarding................if the line-up wasn't fulla 'brown trout', corn and band-aids....:banghead:

The poor ocean really takes a hit when it rains, even moreso if it's been dry a while. The water totally reeks right now! :censored:
