My 630´s been waiting for delivery of a new crank for two weeks now. And the workshop, as well as my standard parts website don´t even know whether anything new is even available here in Germany for Beemer Huskies (or maybe never will be any more). On the other hand, my ten year old CCM 644DS supermoto is still up and running with parts available from all the different component manufacturers. Pierer, BMW etc, please don´t even contemplate taking over CCM!
The 630 might have been built when BMW owned Husky, but it's not a BMW bike like the 449/511/650 2 weeks? That's not a long wait, Try ordering some transmission parts in the middle of the KTM takeover
good thing it is winter... I've already ordered and received a spare timing chain and cam gear for mine a few months ago.
Problem solved! The parts warehouse stock was in the process of being transferred to Austria. And that caused the wait. Got the new crank. Was told to expect renewal after approx. 20.000 kms. .... expensive!
Thats just crazy talk! I had my engine torn down / inspected at 28,000 k's ....The crank bearings where worn ..so they where all replaced for under 100.00 total ! No new cank needed !!
Got the old crank here and it´s deffo loose. That and the bearing were giving of a ticking sound that became even more audible as time wore on.
