Up at the crack of dawn, adrenaline flowing... Apparently, weather predictions should be interpretted differently in the North versus the South. In the South, 30% chance of rain means: "No chance in Hell of any rain" In the North, 30% chance of rain means: "While it rains all day, it'll only be 30% as bad as it could be" <sigh>
Buck up and ride! In my area, it rains a lot and some years if you don't ride in the rain... you don't ride!
Out my way, we have so little rain that I make a point of it to go trail riding in a storm. Not too crazy about pavement riding in the stuff though.
As luck would have it, the sun came out at noon and I got to ride in great weather for most of the day. I feel like someone upstairs was listening to me whine!
Since you have the power..... How about making sure the Nuda come to the US, the jobs forecast is up and the Dollar gains on the Euro!
LOL. If I had "the power" I wouldn't have to work for a living. But I'll still put in a good word with the Gods to bring the Nuda... I want one too!
Blazing hot sun days are no fun. All the mud sticks and you have a big wash job waiting when you get home. Nothin wrong with riding in the rain.
You gotta go out there unless it is dangerous or too hazardous ... It adds a new element to the ride .... It's gonna rain here about , once per day but very spotted , then the sun will shine afterwards many times... The rain is warm and not too hard usually and it can be spotted coming ... You can avoid it many times by just riding in the opposite direction ... Or just ride into it ... The mountain creeks flood here but run down quickly ... You gotta be there at rain time or just after to see all the water before it runs off ... I went on craigslist and got some gore-text jackets at a good price and I use them in the rain ...
