Has anyone ever had a recall in SA before, what is the protocol? Kind regards George
Hello Tony, I called my Husky agent and gave them all the info and they agreed that a recall was necessary. Do the check yourself on the international website. So few of these bikes exist in SA so you might wait forever if you waiting them to contact you.
Hey guys, I hadn't been here for a while (had been cut off and spilled on tar, bike's been standing 20 months, but busy getting her going). I wanted to see if there's an update from any of you? Bought my bike 2nd hand so won't get notified - saw the recall a few mins ago as I was looking around again for a solution to the stalling issue (after an inconclusive search in 2016). George, what's the deal, did they have to remove the ECU and send to Europe? My bike is with local agent for the other fixes so planning to have the conversation tomorrow. Appreciate any guidance! ------- Update - 16/04/2019 Contacted local dealer, who worked through RSA "head office" - my Terra's ECU was included in the recall, got sent to Italy for reflash and returned. TAT was around 10 days. Going to collect her tomorrow and will report back after some riding.
Hi George I am in Durban and have a TR650, I am not sure if my bike has had the upgrade or not. I will check out that link and see with my VIN number. I am on the look out for a spare set of spoke rim wheels if you hear of anything? 17' back and 21' front.
