I got a great deal on a pipe and muffler for my09 wr300. But it looks like the pro circuit silencer does not have a spark arrestor. The only ones I've seen on the net are for four strokes. Does anyone know if these will work on my two stroke pipe or have other ideas for me?

    Thanks

Sorry, I was not very clear. I have the pro circuit pipe and muffler/silencer but it appears that the muffler did not come equiped with a spark arrestor or at least the muffler I have does not have one. I need to add one somehow so that I can ride with this in all the areas I ride.

I can easily find a pro circuit spark arrestor(just a cone shaped screen) but it says it will only fit the four stroke muffler.

Maybe every pro circuit pipe comes with a screen but it sure doesn't look mine has one.

mine has an internal tube that reroutes the exhaust, not similar at all to the 4 strokes

Two stroke mufflers that are equipped with spark arrestors do not have screens in them. Instead, they have a "reverse turbo cone" design that can't get clogged like a screen can, due to two stroke oil residue in the exhaust. Your muffler will be slightly longer than a regular muffler if it has a spark arrestor in it, and also should be stamped as US Forest Service Approved somewhere on the outside in small lettering.

So the silencer I have will not work right?
    Darn it.
I will double check the model # when I get home.
