Anyone out there run a spoofer (Booster plug, wuka, eruption) and an after market exhaust like the GPR or Screaming deamon?

    Thoughts, reviews.

My Terra is bone stock, except i pulled the packing from the factory can's, left the cats in. After i did that the bike is hard to start on cold mornings (8 deg and below). I need to give it a little throttle when cranking or it will crank for a while before it catches. Like it had a carb and forgot to use the choke.

Pretty sure i made it even more Lean than the factory settings by doing that.

Before the spring hits im ordering 2 new can's, probably GPR (like the black look). I wanted a PCV and AT but the price is a hard pill to swallow. Probably going with a cheaper spoofer and keeping my fingers crossed for Rixxer or the AF-XIED.

If you are going the GPR route make sure you order it a few weeks before you expect to get it. I placed an order for mine on the 14th and they said I should expect delivery any time from the 22nd to the 28th. I got email this morning that it just shipped tracking number doesnt work so I have no idea when I will see it.

    Thanks for the heads up.

Want to stick with the dual exhaust, I like the looks. Screamin Deamons are real nice looking too, price is a bit lower, not by much.

I have The Eruption in conjunction with the GPR single exhaust, works well. The Eruption with the stock exhaust was a major improvement, then adding the GPR made it a little better, noticed better response in the midrange. I don't ride in extreme cold so I can't tell you about cold starts but it doesn't really seem to start any different, just runs much better with The Eruption and GPR once it does start.

I ordered the GPR dual w/o cats shipped for $539 on ebay. They should be in this week and I will post some pics. Might be a bit before I can give a review, it's -8 here this morning.

I've the wuka and the single gpr exhaust. The wuka solved the occasional stall and the need for a bit of throttle to start every now & then. I can't really remember what the bike was like before the mods but it sure runs & sounds good now.

I'm very happy with the exhaust although the rear bracket securing the can broke due to, I suspect, vibration from corrugated roads. Gpr sent me another bracket gratis but I've made a rubber washer to widen the bracket at the mounting point in the hope that this will relieve some of the stress at the folds on the bracket. This might be a potential issue to keep an eye on depending on your local riding terrain. I now ride with a large pipe clamp fitted to the silencer that I can secure with stainless cable ties should the bracket fail again while I work out a stronger mounting setup.

    Thanks for the reply guys.

Think I'm gona go with the BP, dual gpr cans and the unifilter.

Still going to keep my fingers crossed for an actual fix from a Canadian dealer, Rixxer or af-xied.

Placing the order this weekend....good thing me and the wife have separate credit cards lol.

The Eruption & Booster Plug are both designed to do the SAME thing, increase fuel 6% in the open loop map. They differ in how they do that & how accurate they are...

The Eruption: DIY, clean installation, very inexpensive ($20), follows the 6% fuel enrichment target VERY well no matter what the outside temperature is, senses the REAL combustion air temperature.

Summary, costs less performs as designed better.

Booster Plug: Purchase the complete accessory ready to plug in, need to find a home for the cables & second sensor, costs $150, follows the 6% fuel enrichment target OK in mild weather but deviates when it gets hot or cold, second sensor does not sense combustion air & can add to the deviation.

Summary, costs more, deviates from the target in hot or cold weather so doesn't perform as designed as well.

How much deviation can you expect with the BP?
    by 50C 22% over target
    by 0C 24% under target

The Eruption is better if you can solder. Hope that helps.:)

I installed the power commander which made a huge difference (once I figured out how to install it :)). I have sold my bike as i am moving to South Africa and still have the brand new PCV if someone wants to take it off my hands?

Nothing in these but a spark arrestor and some packing.

I think I'm going to hit up moto mummy on the power commander w/ auto tune.
