I bought some sprockets for my 300 a year or two ago and I could have sworn the package said the sprockets were also interchangeable with older Suzukl RM bikes. I thought I had saved the package so I wouldn't have to come on here and ask, but I lost the packaging. So... does anyone know if this is true and if so, what year Suzi RM's would fit?

Or maybe I imagined this all. Who knows [IMG]

If that is the case then what steel sprockets do you folks prefer?
I have not had good luck with aluminum, so I'm trying to avoid that route if possible.

For steel sprockets, I think Ironman are regarded as good as it gets. I put some on my 610, the way the rear is relieved, they don't weigh much more than aluminum and the fronts are made from the same steel as puch press dies.

I don't know where you're located (location not visible on posts anymore?) but Chain Gang in Australia are back making steel sprockets. I've used rears on my KTM's in the past, and also front and rear on my VFR800. I'll most likely give them another go when I need them for the Husky. I haven't heard anything much about them since they started producing again - but I'll take a chance on a great Aussie product. I don't know if the front sprockets are all that flash, but they make a claim that their rears will last 3 times longer than other sprockets. They've always had a good rap over here.

I tried a rear sprocket from a DR350 last year after reading on TT that it was the same, the DR sprocket didn't fit my 2000.

Use the plastic ones, chain lasts longer! Funny![IMG] I read somewhere as well that the Honda XR 600's are the same?

    Thanks.
The reason I was asking about the Suzuki RM sprockets is cause I can get them for cheap.

Anyways, the answer to my cross reference question can be found here: http://www.jtsprockets.com/61 M54a708de802.0.html
Enter JTR822 for rear sprocket and JTF824SC for front sprocket and you'll see what other bikes the 250/300 share sprockets with.
