I've been going down a rabbit hole with the starter motors found in the 2010-2014 250's & 310's so I thought I'd put this thread together of all the info I've gathered so others don't need to waste the same amount of time.

    Part Number:
    8000A7059 - $343.82 as of 7/2023

    Power:
The FSM calls it both a 12v-350W (pg. A6) and 12v-450W (Electrical Section) starter. I'm inclined to believe the 450W is a type-o as these aren't known to be very powerful.

    Output splines:
    7-spline
This is the big issue in finding a replacement winding. I've cross referenced a ton of starter motors from this era and can't find any with 7 splines.

    Manufacturer:
Mitsuba likely but haven't found hard evidence.
The only markings visible on the exterior housing seem to be ink stamped on the center section starting with "XGT00..." Some I've seen are XGT007XQ, XGT0017E, XGT00498.
I've tried to search for these numbers in a myriad of ways but haven't found anything on them.
"XGT" is also cast into the inside of the end cap.

    Rebuild / Rebuild Kit Info:

    Brushes
It's been said by members that these work:

Rebuild Kit (Brush plate, brushes, etc.)
From the information above and a side by side photo comparison it appears a rebuild kit (without motor winding) for a WR250F 2003-2013 or WR450F 2003-2015 would work:
    Psychic MX
    Part #: MX-01301A - $19.57 link
