Found this on German ebay: http://www.ebay.de/itm/XTrig-PHDS-P...16549?pt=DE_Motorradteile&hash=item5d3e42b0c5 Anybody having some experience with PHDS system ? http://www.xtrig.com/en/Products/PHDS-System.html
Just sent the US dealer an email inquiring on price and any other details on the system he can offer. I still wish Scotts would have made a unit for these bikes
I have sold many steering dampers to KTM guys running those (they were asking if it all worked together) and they seem to really like them.
I would assume that NO large producer would even consider making products for this bike as its practically dead (market too small and other opportunities). That includes dampeners, exhausts etc. No dreams of LeoVince/Scotts for Terra IMHO... No dampener for this bike UNLESS some smaller workshop prepares dedicated mount. Having said that, mind you that PHDS is not steering dampener 'per se'. Its rather handlebar dampener - AFAIK it deals primarily with engine/clutch vibrations mostly, not shimmy (eg. due to knobbly tyres used on pavement). Therefore PHDS is so much successful for KTMs with significant vibes, TOGETHER with true steering dampener (eg. Scotts) - as Kelly rightfully pointed out. As Terra is low on vibes, PHDS effects might be limited. Although I would not rule that out completely, I would be ready to give it a go and check results.
This may not be a steering damper per se--EDIT: I should have read the post above before writing this Sorry. Below is a quote from the US distributor: We are the US importer for Xtrig and we have the PHDS system in stock The Xtrig PHDS system is not a steering dampener system but rather a vibration and shock dampening system for handle bar mounts. I would need to see a picture of the triple clamps on your bike to be able to say whether or not the Xtrig PHDS system will work with them. You can call me if you have any questions. Thanks, Rick Green
Make sure they are flat on the bottom and have a M10 bolt hole and they should work fine. Might have to monkey with the bar bolts.
