Shane here with a CR125 likes his (or least did last I spoke with him). He does not post here much now but goes by "speedkills" or something like that. They feel strange to me but get the idea and can see where it would for sure give more control. I prefer to ride loose.

I have them and love them, but will admit that everyone else who rides my bike with them doesn't seem as enamored with them as I am. They really help me stay aggressive and standing on the bike without using up my energy as quickly. I don't really ride on them all of the time as I normally ride pretty forward on the bike (in fact my biggest complaint with them is that I have to lean back to find them) and try to ride pretty loose but there are a few situations where it is really nice to be able to lean back and lock into the bike while holding the throttle wide open without using much energy. I find if I really push back on them with my legs I get an extra little bit of traction, less than I have sitting but more than I have standing normally which is pretty useful to lift the front end.

I am no A racer (no idea why it says that next to my name, I haven't even managed a podium in the B class), but they make me feel like I want to ride faster and more aggressively, just like my 125 does. Does it actually make me faster, I don't think so but I do feel like I can hold a given pace for longer before getting so tired I need to slow down and that is worth a couple hundred bucks to me.

So when you say fast and aggressive I would just point out that Kelly might pass me sitting down, while eating a hot dog, while I am "holding it wide open".

Scratch that, I would never let that happen, I would rather pull a Bubba and just wad it up, then back at the truck claim I could have held him off if it weren't for my bad luck and crashing.

Damn, nice work. I'm up to 215 after sitting on my ass all winter, doing no extended cardio, and lifting weights. Might be time for a revalve.
