125-200cc sticky throttle action

I checked my throttle cable, it seems fine, no snags on either end, sprayed the inner section of the quick action throttle where the cable clips in, then twisted the handle grip, it seems sticky, like you pull it and it doesn't seem to spring back or return very instantly, but the cable is as lubed as I can get it so I wonder if the actual turning action of the bar is stuck? Anyway I don't know what to get to replace it but I found these 2, can anyone say if they think they'll fit or where to buy a replacement?? You can take the throttle tube off and clean between it and the bar. They should be run dry (no grease).

Maybe the hose of the cable is too bended and this generates some rub between it and the cable. On my bike, if you turned the handlebar completely to the right (or to the left, I don't remember well) and twisted the throttle, it returned slowly. Now it doesn't happen anymore, probably because I tried to solve the problem moving the two hoses a little; I don't even remember what I did because that problem didn't bothered me at all while riding.
You could try to remove the tube and the other parts of the throttle from the handlebar, reassemble everything (not on the handlebar), straighten the cable and twist the throttle: if it returns normally, you've found the problem.

Does the throttle snap back if you pul the cable by hand?
Does your grip interfer with the hand guard? Had same issues make sure the end of the grip is away from hand guard.
If you pull the cable and its sticky or notchy you may have a frey and will be requireing a replacment.

thanks for the links, I did actually order a throttle cable from venhill specifically to fit my bike, but the garage mechanic said it was the wrong sort. Guessing wre's don't come with quick action throttles as standard? Anyway I lubed the plastic grip, the cable, inside the cable, literally everywhere, sealed it back up, then tonight went out, its really smooth, pings back instantly, works fine on the the road too. I will consider the venhill kit though, could be useful if my cable actually does go

Well its £13 i did work myself but if your cables fine you could cut it to original length its a fiddly job but with some common sense you can do it easy.

sadly no cable included but the only other housing units were £17 upwards for mx bikes, couple of pitbike ones came with cable and grips too but I wasn't sure that my current cable would fit so went for the one in link. Trying to find a cable now in case mine does go but nobody seems to have an exact match, found this one though, see it is bent at a right angle at the end near the twist grip? I think it might fit mine if you look at the pictures above

Looks like it might but the pit bikes got threaded area.
Venhill did send me a cable like that before i got the universal kit, sadly they didnt seem too interested in copying my cable so i made my own. I got it for husqvarna wr 360 93-98 as they didnt have 2000's one an it looked like the one your after.

My throttle inner cable cut through the angled metal guide tube on top of the carburetor. Throttle action got a bit rough before it actually cut through. Once it did cut through it frayed quickly. Luckily for me it all jammed up while I was trying to find out what was causing the problem with the engine off.

better than it breaking whilst you were out in the middle of nowhere! I got my new grip today and weirdly the venhill cable I got sent fitted straight in, but doesn't fit my current twist grip. Being stupid I decided to cut off the plastic housing right angle of my current cable so I could manipulate which direction the cable went and force it to fit my new grip. However, too much pressure with snips and I cut off the last inch of cable plus the end nipple! So it was inoperable. I soldered the bit back on and have managed to put it back together how it should be, rode for two hours earlier and it's fine. Weird as I tried to solder two different clutch cables and they didn't stick at all, but the throttle cable is solid as anything. I was going to try fit the venhill one but my bike has an oil pump and a carb so the throttle goes down past the fuel tank then it seems to connect inside a plastic housing to two more cables, one goes to the carb and slide the other to the oil pump. So venhill have sent me one thats long enough to connect direct to the slide but impossible to use unless I run premix. Do they not know the wre and sms have oil pumps? Or is there something inside the plastic housing that I'm supposed to take apart? Pics below in order, the first is where the throttle cable connects and then is split into two further cables, the second pic is the cable going into the top of the carb and off to the side, the third and 4th show how the second cable makes its way into the oil pump
