I've had the Terra for a little over 4000 miles and it's leaked oil the entire time! :banghead: Drip, drip, drip off the bottom of the motor. My mission for today was change the oil and stop the drips.

I had new copper washer for the oil drain but I did that last time and it still leaked. This time I added a very thin layer of Yamabond4 above and below the new washer. I also added the Yamabond to the two copper washers that sandwich the banjo fitting. I did not have new washers here.

The Yamabond forms a flexible seal similar in some ways to RTV. For sure you don't want this floating around in your oil so I think it is advisable to only apply to areas that are not in direct contact with engine oil, use it very sparingly, and clean it off all parts every time you disassemble. The last one is VERY important as the Yamabond seems to like to disintegrate if tightened down for a second time.

After a 60 mile ride this morning everything is looking good.
