So, I've been thinking about getting a set of Strada wheels for my Terra. I'd like a set of small wheels with street tires, or 20% offroad tires, and a set of big wheels with DOT legal 80% offroad tires. I know people have done this and I was wondering what they do about the speedometer? Going from Terra to Strada will result in a speedometer (and odometer) reading high, while going the other way will result in a low reading. I would assume the speedo coefficients are loaded in the bike's software and cannot be changed, and are different between the two bikes. I was going to size the sprockets so the rpm of the rear wheel is the same for either wheel but that won't do anything about the speedo and odo. Comments?

For the past 2 years I have just lived with the error when using the 19/17 cast wheels.
My speedo is really close to accurate with the 21/18 spoke rims that when using the 19/17 it is no worse than most of the bikes I have owned.

If you do want it accurate you need to get a modified tone wheel.
