I have a nice original pipe with no dents, original paint with some rust. Whats the best coating for correct color and durability? What's the best silencer material?

I use a high temp semi gloss black. It's just my taste. I use Moose silencer packing but i'm sure they are all the same.

I have found the stove / BBQ paint works well on 2 stroke pipes.

I spray this stuff on then buff it with steel wool to get a satin look. Easier to clean that a flat finish.

Grill paint will always dry flat. If you want it glossy or semi gloss go with hi temp engine paint black of course . It looks really good after a few rides (not so new looking ) get it at any auto parts store.

The stuff I used was not flat but satin or semi gloss, looked about right to me and was stinking durable.
