Just after a bit of info from the guys who have shortened their swingarms.

Where did you cut and shut?
Did you run into any problems?
How much shorter did you go?
Have you noticed a change in cornering?

Had the axle block bit cut off, then 30mm of the swinger cut, then the axle block welded back on.
Poor bike setup ended up getting me a little sideways, then a lot airborne.
30mm, taking the wheelbase down to that of the older 2010 SMR450's.
Turns quicker, better for tight tracks.

Due to the shorter pivot length of a shorter swingarm you need to go down a spring rate or two on the shock to compensate, also the geometry takes quite a bit of fiddling with to get right. I cbf messing around with it for now so put my stock swingarm back on. I'm currently on the front end of the bike so my focus is on the forks. I might not even bother with the swinger if my grand plans for my forks works out.

It's also not cheap to get it done (several hundred dollars), mine cost more than what I'd call a reasonable amount, but that's the price of getting it done in Aus!
