So I just picked up my new (Left over from 09) TE 450 from the dealer yesterday, and my brother picked up a left over 09 TE 310, and we've been trying to figure out how to switch the speedometer from KM to MPH. We've both followed the instructions in the manual, but with no luck. Anyone have a more detailed set of instructions? I'm not having good luck with the new bike. Tried to start it today...dead battery. Kick started it and rode it for a couple hours on the road a few dirt roads...battery still dead. A couple of miles from my brothers house...rear turn signal bolt fell out. Of course it had to be on the left side and melted from the exhaust. Fixed it with yellow tape for now. Pulled into the driveway, and saw my coolant overflow cap sitting in the driveway. Got home...front right turn signal doesn't work. Changed the bulb...nothing. Starting to wonder if I've made a mistake??? Looks like its a trip back to the dealer for some repairs. Anyways, thanks in advance for any suggestions on the speedometer switch.
