Hi, well i recently crashed my te 449 and im almost done fixing it all, and then i had a thought changing my te into a tc as i dont ride it on road anymore and wanted a lighter bike with out all the te extras, so i was wondering if i get a tc plastics kit and a tc wiring harness so i didint have all the wiring for the things im not running anymore will this work?? thanks

It will work, but there will not be a plug for the secondary butterfly motor controller, nor the secondary throttle position sensor. Order a TC ecu as well. It will have better mapping and ignition curves too.

The TC ecu & wiring was my original question to you, Tinken, to try and improve the mapping using factory parts :) I am not having a dig at you, buy your answer then was why I fixed mine with the TE system.
Guess we've both learned a little in the 12 months since.

Eli, you would be able to stay with the TE throttle body & just remove the 2nd butterfly plate from the shaft & run it like a TC.

You have to have the TC ecu or it will fail. Less about learning and more about actually doing. DM - it would be cheaper and superior to add in a pcv than to order a TC ecu, your situation is different than Eli's. And yes, you're having a dig at me, again.

    Actually I wasn't.
I wanted to run all factory gear with TC ecu and was prepared to pay more than pcv prices for it at the time.
Glad you guys went ahead and did it/were doing it.
    Glad it works.
