So my wife works at a hospital and she asked me if I wanted some syringes that have expired and where to be thrown away. She brought me these catheter tipped ones. The tip is the perfect size for both bleed nipples on the clutch and brakes. I just safety wire the hose to the syringe. The size is perfect to where you don't need to keep filling it up. If you are flushing your brakes, these are awesome. I don't know how often hospitals discard these, but there shelf life is limited. My wife does home visits through the hospital and most are elderly so they had these kind. Just wanted to share my new found alternative to the turkey baster
My Bride does the same as well as hand wipes and rubber sergical gloves. The gloves are great and do not look ready fro disposal to me.
Keep in mind that some brake fluid causes the syringe piston to swell. Mineral oil is fine but the other stuff causes issues after an hour or so. Cam.
I have noticed that certain fluids have caused the plunger to swell, but with as many as she got me, I can open another one. She probably got me about 30 or so
The 60mL are the ones I like for pushing brake fluid up from the brake caliper... I found some at 'Ace Hardware', although availability would probably vary by geographical location.
