    Hi Community,
I have a new to me TE310 Mod 2011 with 95hrs on the clock.
Unfortunatelly I have no idea what has already been maintainanced or change on the bike so far.
The reason why I am calling to you is that the clutch works quite well when starting to ride but after some time (30 mins or so) when the clutch has been heavily used shifting gets really hard.
I then need much more power to move the shift lever.
When I put the bike on a stand with engine running and engage first gear the rear wheel starts to rotate already quite fast while the clutch is pulled.

Any idea what could cause this behavior and what could be done?

    Kind regards
    Matthias

Try flushing the old clutch fluid with some fresh stuff. I had an issue where my clutch went away on a high elevation assault. I could stop and it would come back. I could pump the lever and get it back. When it got hot though I'd lose the clutch. Flushed it and cured the problem.

I do find with my bike now with clutch in and engine off there is a lot of drag but should go away with plates spinning and splashed with oil. It may be springs getting soft or some wear, but I would flush your clutch fluid and see if that solves one or both issues.

If it has a cable then the cable is probably stretching or frayed.

It is a hydraulics operated clutch. will try your recommendations.

Yeah, my 449 same vintage did that to me after some off trail exploring in the Sierras. It's not like bleeding brakes, but once you get the hang of it, it's easy to do. If you have the workshop manual, it does a good job of explaining the procedure.

Make sure the clutch line is not too close the the exhaust. Try some heat shield/wrap around the line or the header.
