so i would like to install a tail light on my TXC250, I wanna run my bike in some ACES enduro races this year which require head light and tail light.. and instead of just a stick on light I want to put something on that is functional and looks good. I called halls cycle and they recommended the acerbis LED 2010-0037 tail light. Just wondering if anyone else had put this light on, if they light it, or if anyone prefers another type? Looking for something that is not to bulky and still serves the purpose.

I have used the Tusk LED tail light on my Honda. Worked well.

I really like how the acerbis x led light looks, how was it to wire in? Do you have any part numbers for that light? And any suggestions on wiring or problems that you ran into?

If you just want a tail light, you just need to pull power and ground, should be petty easy although I do not know what the wiring on a TXC looks like. If you want brake light as well, you need to add a switch (or two) and another wire. Still not too difficult.

Make sure your power supply is fused at some point.

I got my acerbis tail light in today... just curious how did you run the wires? what route did you take.... from the pictures you posted it looks like you hit them/kept them out of the way pretty good.

I prefer the Edge 2 as its form follows the shape of the end of the fender. It looks like it belongs, rather than an afterthought that somebody screwed on.

Top right of the rear fender, zip tied to the "inner lip" that stiffens the fender, and then inside the right number plate. If you look close you can see a zip tie inside the "grab hole," the wires are under that subframe tube, basically right behind the "WR300" sticker on the plastics.

There are lots of ways to skin that cat, though!
