This was one cool little track ... Many smaller jumps scattered around and all bigger jumps were table-tops and most corners had berms for bouncing off of and had pivot points ... It had a section that wound out the back and through some banana trees into a small field with a big berm... There was even a uphill corner that had lots of the limestone stuff dumped in it to simulate a sand corner .... We were lucky enough to get some rain the night before and sunshine the next day making traction very well, even after the track got hard during the day ...This was another small race event used by the local politicians for votes ... Track pics.... Forget the band that holds on helmet cam on so no race footage from me Some of the tabletop jumps and starting area... First corner after gate drops. 2 small jumps on a small uphill right after the starting line first turn .. Loose limestone corner ...
Sometimes, at these smaller races where not alot of riders are on hand, we get forced into classes we normally don't ride ... Today, Ayen my WR250 rider, gets to ride the PRO class ... This class is what everyone comes to see and you can tell that by all the crowd cheering ... The guy on the #1 honda is John-John Flores ...A very fast young guy who has lots of fans here ... The #14 yamaha rider is Cyril ...Very fast, very young rider also ... This guy might be on my 010 TC250 in some of the future races ... Ayen sticks the Husky right in there with these guys in moto 1 till a linkage bolt comes out of his bike ... I felt really bad about this for several reasons, ESP the safety side of it, and he had to drop out ... Disclaimer: My camera was acting badly today so the video is chopped up into these pieces Start moto 1, PRO class ... You can see I was not quite ready for the start .. It was really safe with the tabletops ... Its one of the few finish lines jumps I could even attempt to clear ... Its a very good track to learn to ride tracks on as it has several different types of turns and jumps ... I'd like to go back there when I had time and campout there and ride it for about 3-4 days straight .. -- Here is another view of the finish line jump ...Its a pretty big takeoff ramp ... And they added the limestone stuff as a cushion on many of the landing areas throughout the track .. We call that type dirt buckshot back home ..
Yep, I ride some gnarly technical woods stuff but haven't jumped much (except MTB) since I was a teen so tabletops are what I like. We had a track in town with a nice tabletop, whoops section and some smaller jumps and berms. Just as I was getting comfortable in the air again they bulldozed the place. Now it's just dropoffs in the woods but that's a different animal....
The track is where to learn to jump then when you see something in the woods to jump, you'll look like a PRO jumping out there ... -- These tracks come and go here also but this one has been here 2 yrs now so maybe it'll stay ...
