• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

TC 449 even if I explain,They wouldn't understand

Great stuff

I just got back from the NW Gathering. Took my TE511 and there were lots of 449/511's out there. Tried a lot of bikes and despite the mags thrashing the bike and bad press these 449/511 stand up just fine back to back with the new fancy 310 and the 165 bikes no problem. Nothing to be ashamed of and truthfully liked my 511 and the other 449/511 as much or more than the 310's and 125/144/165's that were there. It is a great platform many of us love and many of us are finding out about. Russ was there and he brought a freind (Josh) that just bought one after riding Russ'. Sold his GG 300 ASAP and got one and never looked back. It is a solid well loved platform I hope is here to stay for a while.

I dig my 2012 TC449, and they seem to be as fast as any 450 out there. I do wish they started a little quicker, but that is a small complaint.

In dead engine GP/XC starts, which are common hereabouts the slow starting is a bit annoying....

So you have to catch them from behind coming into turn 1..

And then disappear ......
