TC 450 2002 cuts out at high rpm speed

    My 2002 TC 450 cuts out at high rpm usually going thru 3rd gear then picks up again until same conditions .
    It was first time on bike and bloody dangerous as nearly got run over , at front from the off.
    It has a Leo Vince X3 Silencer.
    Any suggestions

    Either fuel or fire.
    You are probably wide open throttle when this happens, right?.
    Is it a single misfire, or multiple misfires?
    If multiple misfires, do they sound regular, spaced eveny apart, or are they sporadic and happen irregularly?

    Good news stripped carb and refitted a few air leaks around rubber seals from engine and to air box ,now runs perfectly.
