Hey everyone, I'm racing in the 40+ class in NE Ohio on a 2008 TC450. As the only Husky mx'er in my area I am proud to represent the brand and my local dealer Beaver Creek Cycle in Lisbon, Ohio. I have only raced twice so far this year but the results have been 4 moto wins and I'm in a 3-way tie for 4th place in the series. I'll be back at the races this weekend in hopes of the same results! Special thanks to Beaver Creek Cycle, Oneal, Blur and MX153 training schools.

Wow Dave great results way to put the big Husky 450 out there. I would ask how the power feels as compaired to the jap bikes but it sounds like you have plenty for them, Congrats!

My last 450 was a 2006 YZ450f and while it was nice the Husky is just butter smooth and fits my riding style so much better. My bike is completely stock and power isn't an issue lol. Like others on here I have all kinds of people coming into my pits checking out the bike and asking questions. I give it to em straight and let them know just how good these bikes are.

Sweet and keep up the good riding on the 450 Husky .... I was reading some articles on the bike and they said that bike was the fastest 450 they had ever ridden ... I was also reading where guys in EU were winning SX races on this bike !

Dave, lets hear how great a rider UR and how great that Husky is! It's so good to see another hard charger kicking a$$ on a Husky without all the bells and whistles strapped to his butt! U the man, so be da man!

    Nice track pics also!

Racing update, I'm now 3 for 3! Ended up winning both of my moto's by 15 seconds. My big Husky has been the talk of the pits. I just love this bike![IMG][/IMG]

    Dave,

Congrats on the racing! I am from Alliance originally and had family in Minerva just off 183. That area was a big Husky area years ago.

Sure miss the hill racing and the harescramble country. I'd sure like to race one of the old Malvern harescrambles. Do you know Jimmy Hallman? Bill Rose, Jeff Frank, Mark McLaughlin (Their family ran Malvern Motosport trails for years), they are good friends of mine and old neighbors?

I don't know Jeff Frank or Mark McLaughlin but I know Bill Rose and Jimmy Hallman very well. Jimmy's son Alex comes and rides at my house and Bill Rose and I ran Spring Valley together from '93-'96. Both great guys. I still see Bill from time to time and he still has awesome corner speed. He qualified for LL in +45 the last couple of years too.

I talked to Jimmy a couple months ago. I haven't seen Alex since he was waist high.

You'll have to tell Bill, Darin said hello!

Jimmy and I were just talking about getting some of the old gang back together and go riding. We'll make sure we get a hold of you if we do.

Keep kickin' butt Dave! Love to see the Husky's up front and yes, they're very rare at the MX track. Do you race with a Vet Club?

Thanks Daniel! There isn't a Vet Club here but we usually get anywhere from 10-30 guys entering a local race in 40 + depending on the track. There's a couple guys that play a little dirty that I try to stay away from but for the most part it's just a bunch of guys that have been racing as long as I have just having fun. Other obligations kept me away from the races this weekend and also next weekend but there is a big race at Ohio International Raceway on the May 23rd that I will hit providing the weather is good.
