Should have this head in hand this week and test this weekend on the 15' te300!
Did my first Scramble on it last weekend and won the +30B but by the end my arms felt like they were going to pop out of the sockets from the power band blast (went 300 to 350 and back to 300 in last couple years). I spent the time to test PV springs and adjust the dolly (Kreft power dial) and thought I'd found the smoothest yet quickest set up for me, yellow spring 3 turns in. Wet grass conditions with dry slick dirt so control was needed. I even had the soft map going but I ended up riding on the pipe most of the time because that's where the power was but man going from very little power on the bottom to decent power in the mid took it out of me.
Thought I'd try this head since word is it actually smooths the transition from bottom to top and will pull a gear higher so we'll see. I'll have an after ride report coming! Any other input appreciated!

Congrats on the win. How much of that do you contribute to the bike?

It's hard to tell honestly, I will say this was my first hare scramble of the year and my first win in a hare scramble in awhile but.... I race a 14' fe350 in enduros and have won everyone this year and overall B won 2 of those so its hard to tell haha. The 300 felt good feels obviously quicker somewhat lighter but not anything mind blowing, I'm still setting it up trying to get as much traction as I can but honestly in the big picture to me there isn't a huge difference if you ride each bike as it was intended. It seems the meat of the 300 power is in the mid range as set up and the meat of the 350 is at wide open. So when I ride the 350 its usually screaming a tune always focused on staying on the throttle and keeping it in the right gear and the 300 as is is tougher to keep in that sweet spot but runs and pulls smoother riding a gear high.

I don't have hardly any time on the bike since the install but wanted to check in.
Install was super easy and took about 15min start to finish. Removed seat, tank bolt and two front shroud bolts and pulled shrouds and tank all at once, two bolts in head stay, drained radiators and loosened head bolts. I replaced the head o rings because they were cheap and good insurance even though the bike only has a few hours on it.
Pop new head on and reassemble, Slavens has a good video on how to do everything.
The first and main thing I noticed was the bottom felt slightly stronger and smoother, like I said I haven't had much time on it and would like to have this weekend to verify any changes.

very much doubt the slavens head will be smoother, it will pull harder and feel stronger, the new head HEMI shape are way smoother than the older 13 heads. most who want more responce/ snap go back to these heads 13 heads with the larger squish band.

but hey only a test ride will tell

I did get more testing in today and it seems these things really like the fuel! After richening up the lectron fuel Rod and the power jet and another turn out on the powervalve it runs much better and is actually smoother. Since it has more grunt I can run a smoother powervalve setting which in the end smooths it out while still having more power.
I still have a touch of knock and may try a 50/50 race gas mix but it may go away after the several hour break in some talk about...anyway next race is next weekend so that's the true test.

Most other bikes I've set the fuel Rod so the idle hangs and then go 1/4 turn richer but I did that with this set up and had a bunch of knock so I'm 1/2 more turn richer from that setting. Also the top end was a little flat and I went 1/8 turn richer on the power jet with the yellow spring I'm 2 1/2 turns in and its pretty smooth and running strong. Just an FYI.
