Firstly this isn’t my bike but my local Suzuki dealer recently sold a Husky TE310 R fuel injection that they took as a part ex. It is now sold but the new owner isn’t happy and says let’s bike runs poorly. He’s put it on a Dyno and reported back that it seems to be very weak. My dealer is a great guy and sold me my V-Strom.... but knows I’m into Huskies and asked me for some advice. I’ve worked on Bosch Minarelli injection systems fitted on Zane Laverda but nothing on injection husky 310’s. Appreciate any advice before I offer to help.

It is lean. For the 13/14 model there is no adjustment. From stock one would remove air filter cage and replace with a less restrictive version from the TXC. That alone allows the bike to reliably run but was down on power due to fueling/maps. Flash ECU to Map 3 works well. No need to disconnect O2 sensor. Could pull the cat at that time. Map 3 is good for the most part. I found slightly rich at low speeds and high elevations and use a PCV and autotune. Cleans it all up. I have posted PCV fueling tables here that illustrate how much, percentage wise, the PCV is subtracting and adding to Map 3. If the dealer can assess the bike setup and remedy the intake but not the map, a pcv can do the trick. I have 2 maps I could provide. They are based upon Map 3 so if he has a dyno could get it nailed.

BTW, Also forgot to mention the velocity stack in the airbox also is restrictive and the can be easily modified and opened up. The last item may or may not be an issue. For many of the bikes the starter would click and seem jammed. It's a matter of the decompressor not fully activating. If this happens and left exhaust valve clearance is loose side of spec and step tighter will get all functioning as it should be. Early '13 models also had a recall for starter gears that were not hardened and for some, caused a similar issue. Hardened gears were the fix and was resolved on last half '13 and '14 models. Only other potential issues are tank clearance to a radiator hose and left side fuel petcock to water pump. The fix is swapping the fat and tall hex head screw on the part that hits the radiator hose with a 3mm button head screw, with a and using 1/2"ID steel washers from the hardware store, on the front post/tank mount, to raise height of the tank. I use 3 washers. These last issues Husky addressed in some other markets before end of life but for early '13s all the above were issues. Otherwise great bike! Still have mine. ;)

All the above have been posted on this forum in the past. See "radiator hose a tight fit". http://www.cafehusky.com/threads/radiator-hose-a-tight-fit.31649/
