Howdy folks. Q. With the pump out of the tank, if you hook 12v directly to the pump, will it come on? Should it come on? My buddys pump appears to have quit working and another friend of his did just that with no result. I am hoping there has not been damage because of that. I read on this site about the pump getting clogged and about some replacement ideas including external. Any new info on that would be great I am a carb runnin KTM rider myself but am doing some research for him. I gotta say, this is a great site and so far I have gotten more info in the last 20 minutes than I have in the last 3 weeks anywhere else. KTM Talk got me here. Thanks
The manual indicates that applying 12V to the pump motor should cause it to run. It warns not to run it more than 3 seconds.
