I have a 2009 TE 610e and am looking for handguards that I can install with minimal effort. The stock handlebars look to be tapered at 1 1/8" at the center and 7/8" at the bar ends. It looks like Cycra CRMs will do the job but I'm not sure how easy the install will be. Also, I emailed Paul at HDB and he said I would need to drill out the bar ends. Maybe it would be easier if I just upgraded my handlebars to ProTapers first? Does anyone have any other suggestions? Thanks in advance.
Drilling the stock handlebars on the 610 takes "two seconds" (meaning it is really easy and Paul gives you the tool to do it, you don't need a drill...) If you can afford the HDB's I would say go for them, there are none better Here's an old thread from 2009 for ya' http://www.cafehusky.com/threads/hdb-handguards-–-new-option-for-huskys.1562/
