My Husky refuses to start if i leave under the hot Greek sun.I can hear the fuel pump prime, the bike cranks but doesnt start.I i take the bike in the shade wait an hour or so start and runs like a champ. No ibeat failure, tps adjusted, had a look on connections and look ok....any ideas? TIA...
Update...it is irrelevant of temp...had the same thing last night with cooler temp...so if my CPS(or pick up)is gone,i wont have either fuel nor spark....since the ecu wont trigger the coil and the fuel injector, right?
Thanks, Thanks, but if injector was clogged the bike wont run well after start up...mine works like a charm (if it starts )
Not necessarily. I just went through this with the 2008 I have. It would run fine once running but it had been getting harder to start and would die idling here and there. Until one day it died and wouldn't restart, so I tore into it and it was a dirty injector. I fabricated some hoses together with a straw to go into a can of brake cleaner. Then, got a 9 volt battery to power up the injector as I sprayed through it a few times until the spray pattern came out looking great. I buttoned it back up and she fired first try and has been idling great since. It's worth a try and not hard to get to. Just make sure to use an impact driver on the two screws holding the injector in so as not to strip them, they are tight.
