What are people doing to upgrade the exhaust system on the TE630? Is it best to stay dual exhaust or convert from a two into a one like the 610? I would like to lose a few more pounds and pick up the power. Has anyone tried to uncork the pipes? Can you? Does anyone offer a single exhaust muffler system for the TE630?
The twin Arrows are straight through, don´t have a cat but are street legal with a stamp. The standard ones I took off are A LOT heavier. The cat is welded in and think you´d have to use brute force to get it out in bits. 2 in 1 would be restrictive and most likely to reduce power output.
OD, regarding power, until we see flow or dyno numbers it is a big friggin' "maybe" or more correctly a case of "don't know".
They're in the Husky special parts catalogue which you find on the the official sites. Parts are ordered through your local dealer.
TE 630 Single Exhaust ? Has anyone out there installed a single exhaust/can on their 630 and know how the performance stacks up against the twin system ? My thoughts are that if correctly sized, the single should produce the same power/tq figures as the twin, but at noticibly less weight. Take care but take a risk
There is a single exhaust system (header pipes and can) for the 630. I kept mine twin. Seems to be a bit swings and roundabout with no clear advantage one way or the other.
There's no real performance advantage to having a dual system on a single cylinder bike. As a matter of fact the extra weight might be a hinderance. The real advantage of the duals is that you have a lot more surface area for sound absorbtion.
the dual silencers allow more flow at a certain db level if you had the same flow from a single silencer it would either be very loud or very large. the twin arrows are small n light, sound awsome but i wouldn't want it any louder. they also come with a new ecu tuned for the pipes. i think leo vince makes the full ti 2 into 1 system. dont know if the computer needs a tune up after install?
Dual vs Single Dual gives more at high gears while single to lower-middle. So I think for the TE is better a single. For my SMS i mount a dual made by Racingproject
Really it depends on how the system is designed. How much bottom or top end power a system will produce has a lot to do with size and length of the primary tubes and wheather or not the two pipes ever merge into a commom collector or if they are independent all the way back. BTW that is one sweet looking bike.
May be the one i bought from him about 2 months ago...neat bike..i did notice on the passenger side the pipes dont reduce quite right..i removed the can and wrapped exhaust tape arond it to fit tighter..i may have to find a short piece to adapt in there or maybe a section fron the factory pipes will fit in there....so far so good..
