Looking for opinions and suggestions. The tire in mind is the Mitas E-09. It's REALLY fat for it's stated width as can be seen in the links below. Mitas 130/80-18 Mitas 140/80-18 The 140 measures like a 150 - had one on my KTM 950. It's HUGE. TIA.
I use the D908 rear which looks huge on our bikes. Their website says it's 5.83" overall width. http://www.dunlopmotorcycle.com/tire-catalog/off-road-adventure/dual-sport-adventure/d908-rr/ Mitas 140 converts to 6.14" Mitas 130 converts to 5.59" That being said - sometimes tire widths are misleading because of variables (my 908 is on a 2.15 rim, etc). I'd prob go with the 130 myself... .
I talked to the Canadian distributor (MX-1) a while ago about the E-09 and he recommended the 130 for the 630. I think Mechanic runs or has run these on his bike.
I do run the 130 on my bike, could run the 140 but I have a larger sprocket on the back with the stock chain. I would run into the flap with the larger tire. Awesome tire though, great service from MX-1
