Hi all, attempting a TE to SM conversion on a 2008 TE 510. SM wheels are from a 2009 450SMR, rear rotor stock, front rotor is a Braking SK. Using a Warp 9 caliper relocation bracket (replaces part of existing bracket).

Front rotor doesn't seem to line up with the caliper (too far right, as seen sitting bike). There is a spacer that moves the rotor away from the hub, but then other parts start rubbing. Maybe I'm doing something wrong with the install, not sure.

I thought the TE and SM used the same wheel spacers/axles, please let me know if you have done this conversion and any wisdom you could share.

    Thanks,

    Alex

SM have wider triples so front spacer will be also wider to keep hub in center. Standard 120 tire may rub a bit on those plastic fork sliders I think?

The pre 449/511 bikes I believe use the same dimension hubs (TE/SM), but as mentioned due to the wider triple clamps the SM's used a 4-5mm offset brake disc. Brembo make one with the required offset.

I do have both sets of on and offroad on my Te. Front tire does not rub on plastic. I did'nt do the conversion by myself so i'm not sure what it does need but i can take pictures to show you the set up.
