Does anyone know why the te125 wasn't brought to north american market. Its odd because of the popularity of the 144's and the wb 165. Will they be bringing a small bore 2 stroke in for 2015

I was asking myself the same question. I had a KTM125exc 2010 back in Europe and when i came to the US i was pretty surprised the KTM125/Husky125 are not sold here.
no doubt, the 125 is one hell of a bike.

KTM has not brought the 125EXC to the US in 12+ years and it never brought in the Husaberg TE125.

It seems odd, with how popular the Husky WR/CR125 is. Also ironic, with the fact that the Penton 125 Six Days started it all.... If Husky had built the little lightweight woods 125, that John Penton wanted in the late 60's..... He never would have gone to KTM to build the Penton!

I'm thinking Husky is more likely to get a 150 or 200, that a woods 125.

    That's what I'm hoping to see a husky 200 or 150

I never understood why KTM stopped importing the 125 to the USA either. That really was the bike I wanted before I bought my Husky WR 150. I was looking for one but I was told they do not import them here and then I found the Husky. If the new Husky/KTM ever bring a TE 125/150 to the US,they really would tap a market that is ripe for the picking. There a lot of people I know that are totally surprised at what a hell of a woods bike the small bore husky really is. Hopefully they will realize the market they are missing and grab the opportunity. [IMG]

There is without a doubt, a '15 TE125, but what's filtering out is the Euro introduction info. No 150 or 200 says no small bore for the US....

side note: TE125 Husky- one of our crew was 1" from having one brought over the pond, he did all the planning and ran the numbers and had the logistic support to get it here...then got re-logical and grabbed a well priced 150XC.
Also note: he is also one of our fastest guys (40A) ISDE vet, East coast (upstate NY) transplant. He just sold his 2013 300XC-W and bought a 2014 150XC (which was where he was going with the TE125 thought process). He loooves the 150XC and in our local stuff said he gives up hardly anything to our other fast (40A) guy's 450XC-W....when it opens up 450 goes ahead when it gets tight 150 is 100% in the game (PS this aint no lug the 150 guy, its mostly pinned). Little bikes are fun, easy to maintain and get the job done with smiles. Oh yea he's been looking for the weak points for future ride/ race planning, we have some ugly climbs coming right off blind corners, thats where you need to be on your toes, there is no 300cc 2T torque to use. I remind myself, my friends and y'all that bigger guy, local Pro, ZipTy support rider Justin M won the Tecate HS Iron Man class on his YZ125 last year over some good competition in that open class. Fun is why most of us do this thing.

Sometimes this gets lost along the way.

That is exactly the reason I ride. I am just out for a fun time with friends. I ride with some really good riders and they will push me to ride at another level when I'm riding with them.

As I said in my earlier post, I hope they bring a small bore Husky here to the USA. Whether they do or not is up to them. But if they don't they miss a lot of opportunity to capture that market.
