Has anyone tried these on a Xlite 250/310 and can post pictures of how they mount? Any feedback would be helpful too. TIA
Crap, I was spelling it Stegz when I searched but just realized its actually Steg Pegz. Just found some pictures... Sorry
Buddy runs them on his husky 125 and really likes them. I personally like to ride loose and not grab my bike tight.
Its the only pic I have on my phone as im at work, But u can see they mount at the lower subframe at the bottom and just a side cover bolt up top.
"just a side cover bolt up top" HI I am considering buy steg pegz for my TXC310R but find it hard to believe that the top mounting point is just to the side covers and not the frame? Can anybody who has mounted them on the TE/TC/TXC provide some feedback Regards
I have 2 Buddies that ride with them... Well one has actual Steg Pegz and the other made some brackets and skate board wheels.... I didnt like either and just seemed in the way to me... I hit them with my legs when I didnt want to.... but I also ride very loose on the bike and dont squeeze it
more for sand/desert/whoops type riding than singletrack. everyone ive spoken too whos got them swears by em
I just mounted some to my '13 TE310R. See pic. Rode on the weekend and arm pump was significantly reduced. (great for faster single track shawbagga, but agreed, not as useful super tight or technical stuff where you might want to have wider knees and move around a bit more on the bike) or I reckon that will get even better as I get used to having them there to lock in on. Not cheap for a little bit of stainless and half a skateboard wheel ;P but Glad I added em!
So where does the fuel pump live? Do you mean the fuel taps just keep level equal then the fuel pump sits between in a low point of tank? Those steg pegs woild fit the 125/450/510 wouldnt they?
No, the fuel pump is in the tank and the cross over line merely equalizes the fuel down in the lower lobes. the one on the left side can be kept closed to act as a reserve feature.
