Question, putting clutch housing back together and spring that returns gear selector not working. Which way does spring go on? Where does the pin on the outer casing slide in or outside of spring? cheers in advance...

here is a pic of how it should look installed: The pin on the outer casing goes between the legs. Sometimes it's a bit fussy to get back on. Slide the mechanism toward the back of the engine and don't force the cover back on (I learned the hard way )
