Te449 Gas Tank Breather Valve Replacement

Mine broke and OEM replacement through motosport has been backordered for 6 weeks. Seeing if I can find a non-OEM replacement as I have nothing on there now and getting 30mi/tank when doing gnarlier stuff like hill climbs and such - suspect fuel leaks out vent line.

Anyone know of a replacement or if this is a one-way check valve, vacuum relief valve, etc?

Thanks! I bought a one-way valve from Amazon and installed it so air can enter but fluid can't escape. I believe this is the wrong orientation as after running the bike for 10min, considerable pressure built up in the tank and shot fuel out when I took the gas cap off. So, if I reverse it, it will allow pressurized air to escape the tank, but also allows gas to escape - my original problem of it leaking out while riding and getting 30mi/tank. However, I also believe having it installed so air/fuel goes out and nothing comes in is correct as it creates positive pressure for the fuel pump to do it's job. I have since ordered a vacuum check valve (pic below) that I think is identical to what was previously there. The difference between a standard one-way check valve and a vacuum check valve, I believe, is that there is a minimum cracking pressure to open the valve which should hopefully keep the fuel in the tank. Hopefully this will do the trick and will report back as I hate when you stumble across useful posts, but there is no ending.

You’ll see this valve is an issue on a lot of the TE 4st bikes. Most people (myself included) ditch the valve and run the hose up into the handlebars. Solves the pressure issue and bike has to be upside down for fuel to come out of it.
