    Hi all,
Am new to all things husky and am looking for some advice. All going well, am going to look at/pick up a te510 next week (04) and was wondering if there is anything I should look out for? Also a bit of light googling has turned up the fact that if you fit a new(er) style seat and tank you can fit the 05-07 plastics and I prefer the look of them and it appears there are far more graphics etc available for them. Only downside if I don't know what years/type of bike I can look at getting the seat/tank from (other than a te510 as they are thin on the ground) Cr/wr/te etc etc what years etc seems very confusing compared to my old Yamaha WR and Suzuki RMZ with all the models and parts/plastics differences!
Thanks in advance for any help

Any of the 05-07 models, except the 610 will work.

I have a 04 with 05-07 plastics. Install is way simple with 05-07 fuel tank. Looks much slimmer. On my bike trimmed the side panels and used 2014 front number plate & fender to update the look.

The 04 had the bad valves but if its been used they are prob changed out already. Also had the Mikuni carby iirc, not great but you can get it going ok.

I liked the thin body bikes better! The next gen 06 style I pull the shrouds out of the tabs constantly and bruise my knees.

Hi, just a small thread update, went to look at the bike and got her:) , turns out it was registered December 04 here (uk) and is actually an 05 model so new(er) style plastics and keihin carb and checked the frame number so really happy. Have only ridden it very briefly but coming from a rmz450 I can't belive how smooth it feels, gearbox is quite suprising as well as it is very likeen a motocross box except with a low first gear. It's now in the shed getting stripped to the frame and then rebuild with everything checked/greased and new red/white plastics/graphics etc etc etc
Thanks for taking the time to reply guys
