Hi there Cafe husky friends !!!

I have an ongoing issue with my cooling fan on this bike. I have had to replace 2 cooling fans as the 6 x small plastic holding mechanisms tend to break.. Once one has broken then it weakens the whole mount and then they all fail.
I have already replaced 2 complete fans at a cost of around $ 100 each ( plus cost of delivery to Australia of about $ 80 )
I have had the bike since new and the bike always seems to have idled quite rough.. bike has plenty of power but due to shudder also creates probelms with nuts loosening and I also believe creates this probelm, with the fan.
I have investigated the next model 2011 + fan modules but it looks like they are are different size
( and radiator shrouds etc) The mounting bracket for this fan is also quite tight.
I did try to re-enforce these small arms which hold the fan in place to no avail...
Has anyone got a recommendation ????
I am currently riding without the fan on this bike and do ride open trail as well as some tight single trail.. obviously it is important to get the cooling fan back on the bike ASAP... just want to know fif there is something better to do so I dont have to continue to replace..

Attached pics show IMG_2323.JPG IMG_2324.JPG IMG_2325.JPG the problem

    Any help appreciated..

If you weren't half way around the world from me, I'd buy one of those busted fans off you. But to you questions. I would reinforce it with my own braces, but if you don't have the option to fabricate, then buying something different is your only option.

I do not think you need the fans to be honest. use a top quality coolant. I have had 510's and 450's riding steep st with 250 lump of rider on the back with no issues.

I started using Evans a little bit back, seems to help, although I only had an over heat problem when I rode slow. Keep that bike moving and try waterless coolant, yo might like it - higher boil point, never needs to be replaced, can be reused, etc.
