So im converting my sm610 to a te610 and the only problem ive run into is how to mount the speedo sensor. everything fits except there is no way to run the speedo sensor so im going to make some sort of bracket for it but i need to know what the distance between the hub and the magnet is so that i get the speedo accurate. so if someone could please measure that for me that would be great. thanks.
when i sm'd my te, i made a bracket to use the same caliper with the larger disc. for the speedo i just stuck one of those rare earth magnets to my disc. seems to work fine...
On the manual they state that the distance between the magnet and the sensor should be 0.08-0.16 in..
This? Or from the center of the hub like you wrote in the title... I mean: you need the radial distance, not the axial, right?
i need the radial distance. I dont know if the distance differs between the TE and the SM models but i need the distance of the TE model.
Doesn't matter. Far as I know it counts revolutions per minute so it will be the same regardless of how far from the center of the hub it is.
