    A couple of quick questions.

Are there any skid plate options for the 630 other than the one from Uptite?

Can anyone tell me if the Acerbis Rally Pro hand gaurds interfere with the standard levers on this bike? I'd assume the 630 is the same deal as the 610.

    Thanks

I have the Uptite on mine. It's the same skidplate that goes on the 610. So, I imagine any 610 skidplate will bolt right on.

I don't know about Acerbis hand guards. I'm using Cycra ProBends with no problems.

Thank you. That is interesting about the 610 plate fitting the 630. I'd have thought not, but I haven't been able to compare the two bikes. It seems that Hyde Racing has one of their plastic skid plates listed for the 630 with the same part no as the 610 so I guess they must be.
I was looking for more choices. Knowing now that the Hyde plates exist I am inclined to go that way, based on the current selection, but still interested if anyone else has something to add.

About the Cycra hand gaurds. I'm not so keen on some of the ProBend gaurds - in fact I am over the fussy styling (and particularly branding) of most hand gaurds including Acerbis. Using the bar kit as a baseline (it apparently fits without interference), are the different shields interchangeable on the same mounting bar? Also, which mounting kits/parts are required for mounting these gaurds on the stock (Magura?) bars?

Watch out for the Mickey Mouse reservoir contraption fitted to the hand brake lever on the 630. `Tis difficult to fit the bar over it. In fact it´s going to be my next project .... changing it to a standard reservoir system.

I just installed the Acerbis supermoto guards today using the Pro Taper mounting kit.I works good on the TE but on the SM the front brake reservoir does interfere a little bit so some mods are necessary. The skid plates are the same too and if there is a plastic one I'd buy it. My aluminum one has a vibration to it that is very anoying.

Hyde racing has listed the HP-SG-99 skid plate as suitable for both the 610 and the 630.

I ordered one today so it is a case of wait and see.

As to the hand guards, I ordered some Rally Pro guards. If they stuff me around too much I have another bike where I know they'll fit that needs a new set of guards.

I fitted a 610 plate on my spanking new TE630 (2011). Had to shave a little off the right rear bracket to fit between the motor and the frame, opened the Ubend on the front right and all done. Got it from A Vicous Cycle in Ontario Canada for C$90.00. spot on. Will post a pic if you want?

I have the stainless/aluminum skidplate from the special parts catalog.
looks good but i'm not really impressed with the protection.

Hyde plate works fine - quiet too. Acerbis hand guards are fuss free.

The right hand peg mounts need a little work for the Fastway pegs, otherwise they are locked in place - not allowed to pivot on their mount and maybe has the potential to break or bend something when the bike goes down on that side. I'd say this is the same for all large pegs. It is a problem with the mount not the peg. For some reason the rear tab does not have a radius.

Did you see about a husky accessory. I ordered skid play with side wings and rear rack. The plate was much nicer than the pix . And fix good . The rack would not fix , returned.
For bark busters , I put on moose racing , I like them, no mounting issues.
Mote. I have a 09 SM, and the parts where for a te610.
