nahh, don't believe what you see. Kelly got a special bike had delivered by the president of Husky. They flew it in overnight.

It is what is in the magazines that matters.

Jake just installed a 300 kit on his bike. It has slightly more bottom, about the same mid and top when i have my SA in and the leaner EFI settings. With the SA out on my bike and the richer setting we both agreed the 2010 model makes more bottom to top than his 300 kitted bike.

    Yep, it's a dog. :D

Additionally the 2010 spools up way quicker giving you quicker access to the power. I have not once thought to myself I need more. If there was a 300 kit i would not install it. It has more than enough for me and my needs in the woods. It is a great bike. Getting pretty tired of defending it. Ride one and see what you think.

BTW i really like what the 300 kit did for Jakes 08 TXC250.

Offer still stands to try mine.

    - I will admit that type of riding I do does not require the type of power MX does. For me the power is ideal. i think it would be a great MX bike as well but might be down on power in that situation. John1's son is faster on his TC250 than a highly modified KTM SX505 so who knows.

Interesting observation on the 300 kit. I don't get the bad press, but maybe I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed at least when it comes to evaluating motorcycles.

I may have to ring you up on your offer sometime... my dealer still hasn't got back to me on my inquiry. [Disappointing]. :banghead:

I seem to do the same sort of stuff as you guys do. For me the ideal situation would be to have two bikes. One for the wide open desert stuff. A second bike for the mountains. In the Sawtooths there are 75 mile rides we do and you NEVER hit 4th gear and spend most of your time in 2nd. Its this type of stuff the new Husky might be great in.

I am secretly hoping a 200 two-stroke in a revamped frame might be coming too. That would be a tough choice. :excuseme:

As a final note, I really enjoy my 250 XCW -- there have been rides I've done that I don't know if I'd have been able to finish with something different. Super bike -- fast when you twist the throttle or you can lug it around all day. My problem is -- I'm just kind of a Husky guy.

I've been screaming at the coders at vb.com for months and others have as well for only certain usergroups to be able to embed html, but have everyone be able to view html. And that would be the only way I would ever let people use html.

Here is how to embed a smug mug video.
